Studio Stunners

Tonight I tried using studio lighting for the first time and had a GREAT time doing it. I've always wanted to try it out so I thought I would play around by taking photos of my sisters. My twin sister Sarah was up for doing the photos (just for fun) but my older sister Allison actually needed shots to be taken for her University Graduation Recital posters - which is at the end of the month so it was a great opportunity for both of us!

Patricia's Urban Shoot

Yesterday I had a great time shooting Patricia's photos for her acting portfolio! She was such a natural - even had a makeup artist on hand for in between shot touch ups! We all felt like pros being around each other - 3 different talents. Even Patricia was laughing at the fact she was being pampered by us both and felt like a celebrity. It was a great morning shoot and fun! (Did i mention morning and fun in the same sentence????)

Laura

In August I photographed Mike & Vanessa's wedding and I met Laura, who was one of their bridesmaids. Today I got to photograph Laura in a different role! She is a local real estate agent and needed head shots and photos for her website and promotional pieces. It was a gorgeous day - and a beautiful location! - to photograph. Corrie and Nadine

Yesterday I traveled to Sarnia to do some formal headshots as well as some more "fun" business photos for Corrie and Nadine who are both involved in holistic medicine. HEre are a few from our time together...

Pernell

Pernell is a good friend of mine, and my hubby's best friend. He married my college roommate. We've enjoyed many, many good (and not so good!) memories. He is also the pastor at our church and was recently one of Christian Week's "Top 35 under 35" Christian leaders in Canada and needed some photos for them to use in their article on him. We went out at 7am this morning (yawn!) to downtown Hamilton and snapped some photos. It was good to catch up and gab with my buddy and take some photos. As we walked we both kept saying how much we love downtown Hamilton. Such a sense of renewal - it is a downtown core that is in pretty sad shape - but you get this feeling that there is something happening. I think that there will be life again downtown. Awhile back I did a photo essay on the Beasley area of Hamilton - you can see those photos here. That was also where we walked today. Let me introduce you to Pernell....

Clowning Around

This weekend I had the opportunity to fly up to Thunder Bay to photograph a group of clowns - doing their individual portraits for them to use in marketing. It was a lot of fun! Here is a quick peek at Yodels, Lulu, Piggles, Polly, Belle and Hugger.
